trouble with rc5x ???

Chris & Sherri Strutton
HI I am a newby so bear with me here.  I have been googling for days now with no luck.

I have set up Ubuntu (hardy) with lirc 8... I have a new mce usb remote/ reciever/ transmitter.  I just bought it for the transmitter.
I also have a Nokia N800 running IRreco as a remote.  It connects with lirc fine and works great.  I cant wait to get it all set up.

Hence my problem... I have a marantz SR5600 reciever but the remote will not record properly with irrecord.  I did get some buttons to record in raw mode.  I would like to use the RC5 Codes directly to make use of discrete codes.  lol... I know go get the rc5 conf files... but check out the attached desc from marantz.  It references a power on as 16 12 01, power off is 16 12 02.

how do I translate these codes into lirc config files for transmitting?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Chris

rc5x is not understood by irrecord etc. However, here's the
raw codes I'm using for discrete on / off:

begin remote

  name  marantz2
#  bits          13
#  flags RC5|CONST_LENGTH
  flags RAW_CODES|CONST_LENGTH
  eps            30
  aeps          100

  ptrail 0
  repeat 0 0
  gap 112651
#  one           889 889
#  zero          889 889
#  plead         889
#  gap           113080
#  toggle_bit 2
#  frequency 35500
#  duty_cycle 50

      begin raw_codes

          name poweron
             1000     750    1900    1650    1850     800
              950     800    1000     800     950    4350
              950     850     950    1700     950     800
             1850     800     950     850     900     850
              900     900     900     850     900     900
              900    1750     900

          name poweroff
             1000     750    1000     800     950     800
             1850     800    1000     800     950     800
              950    4350     950     850     950    1700
              900     850    1850     800     950     850
              900     850     950     850     900     850
              900    1750    1800

Cheers,

Allan.
