Lirc returns previous remote key when pressing new key

Scenario: LIRC installed in a MIPS machine, using audio_alsa driver with lircd 0.9.2a
When I press a key on the remote, irw reads it correctly, but most times it get it
repeated and when pressing another key it still returns the previous key.

000000037ff07bfb 01 4 mceusb
000000037ff07bfb 02 4 mceusb
000000037ff07bfb 03 4 mceusb
000000037ff07bfb 00 4 mceusb <-- button 5 pressed

I built the version 0.9.3a with the same result. But the old version 0.9.0 works
quite fine.

It's like if the data got buffered somewhere, and triggered with when pressing
keys on the remote.

Any clue about this issue?
